South Korea's Supreme Court recognized the right to access as a fundamental right for the first time. After a 6-year legal battle, the Supreme Court declared that the government must ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities. This marks the first time that South Korea's Supreme Court has recognized state accountability for inaction on accessibility laws.
